New River Organic Growers (NROG) is a nonprofit cooperative of farmers located in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. Our goal is to provide fresh produce and humanely raised meats to consumers in North Carolina, to help preserve farmland by improving the success of our own farms through the pooling of resources for marketing and transport, bulk purchasing of farming supplies, sharing and coordination of information, and to educate the general public about the benefits of sustainable, local farming and consumption.

New River Organic Growers

Formed in 2000, the New River Organic Growers (NROG) are a group of dedicated family farmers in the Southern Appalachian High Country. We employ organic farming methods which preserve farmland and cultivate healthy soils. For the past few years, we have shared knowledge and planned our growing seasons; now we are able to offer many popular and heirloom vegetable varieties throughout the High Country season. Every farmer utilizes strict sustainable farming practices to bring you and your family a bounty of nutritious fruits and vegetables, fresh and fragrant cut flowers and herbs, natural meats, and free-range eggs.
